Establishment of a 900 TPA unit for processing/ packaging of bamboo shoot at Dimapur, Nagaland

A unit for bamboo shoot canning is in the process of being established at Dimapur, Nagaland. The pack sizes will be 400 g, 800g and 3 Kg. A part of bamboo shoot will also be packed in nylon based flexible pouches using vacuum packaging in the pack sizes of 1 Kg. During the season of unaviailability of bamboo shoot, other horticultural crops will be processed in the unit.

At present the requirements of canned bamboo shoot are being met by importing the product. This product will meet the requirement of canned bamboo shoot in the country and will also be exported to other countries. 

The raw material requirements will be met by nearyby areas in and around Dimapur.

Establishment of a 200 TPA unit for processing/ packaging of bamboo shoot at Jorhat, Assam

A unit for processing of bamboo shoots is being commissioned in Jorhat, Assam by Luit Valley Food Processing Pvt. Ltd.

The unit will be manufacturing salted and  brined shoots in different pack sizes of 250 g, 500 g and 1 Kg comprising flexible pouches & PET Jars. The shelf life of these products will be up to six months. The bulk packing of the products will also be done for retail packing during the off season.
