The Energy Research Institute (TERI), New Delhi

Established in 1974. TERI works towardsefficient utilization of energy, sustainable use of natural resources, large-scale adoption of renewable energy technologies, and reduction of all forms of waste to move the process of development towards the goal of sustainability.

TERI is involved with the Mission in many activities :

Demonstration of packages of practices for intensive cultivation and higher productivity, utilising fly-ash soil amendment in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh and Korba, Chhattisgarh

Establishment of bambusetums for identification and conservation of elite plant material, at Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Guwahati, and for in-vitro holding (New Delhi)

Establishment of a community managed bamboo resource in Farukkhabad and demonstration of efficacy, viability and utility of bamboo plantation, with soil amendments like fly ash and mycorrhizal bio-fertiliser in flood prone areas, mined wastes, degraded lands
