Bamboo Shoot Palak (North Indian Cuisine)

Ingredients: 

  • Bamboo shoot- 100 gm
  • Spinach – 3 bunches
  • Green chilies – 4
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Onion - 1
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander powder – 2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seed powder – 1 teaspoon

Preparation: 

  1. Fry the precooked bamboo shoot till crisp in a oil pan. Pressure-cook the cut spinach leaves, green chilies, garlic, onion, coriander powder, cumin seed powder and cool.
  2. Grind the above pressure-cooked ingredients to a smooth paste. Take butter in a pan and add the ground paste and bring it to boil.
  3. Then add the fried Bamboo Shoot and cook till done.
