Bamboo Shoot Halwa

Ingredients: 

  • Bamboo Shoot – 250 gm
  • Carrot – 250 gm
  • Sugar – 300 gm
  • Milk - ½ litre
  • Cashew nut – 50 gm
  • Ghee- 1 tablespoon

Preparation: 

  1. Grate carrot and the preprocessed and cooked Bamboo Shoot. Pressure cook them for 10 -15 minutes. Now, take this in a frying pan. Add sugar and milk and cook till it is done.
  2. Melt the ghee, saute the cashew in it and add to the above. Add more ghee to remove any stickiness if it is there.
