Bamboo Shoot Manchurian (Oriental Cuisine)

Ingredients: 

  • Corn flour/Maida- 100 gm
  • Ajinomotto - ½ teaspoon
  • Egg – 1 · Vinegar – 2 tablespoons
  • Soya Sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Chilli Sauce – 1 tablespoons
  •  Tomato Sauce – 1 tablespoons
  • Garlic & Ginger paste – 2 tablespoons
  • Spring Onions – 5 stalks
  • Onion – 1
  • Capsicum – 1
  • Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Tandoori Color – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt- to taste
  • Oil- for frying

Preparation: 

  1. Chop prepared Bamboo Shoot into moderately sized pieces, capsicum and spring onions into long strips. Mix maida/corn flour & egg.
  2. Add chilli powder, soya sauce, vinegar, salt, ajinomotto, tandoori color with water & mix to form a thick batter.
  3. Dip chopped Bamboo Shoot in the batter & fry in oil till it turns golden brown and keep aside. Take little oil in a pan, put finely chopped Onion, fry till it turns golden brown add garlic & ginger paste. 
  4. Then add capsicum spring onions & fry till cooked. Lastly add the fried bamboo shoot to the above. Further add soya sauce, vinegar, chilli powder, tomato sauce and toss well. Sprinkle cut coriander & serve hot with sauce.
