Bamboo shoot needs to be preprocessed before using.

Preprocessing of bamboo shoot: 
Remove the sheath and trim it to extract the edible portion.  Cut the edible portion, soak overnight and boil for 30 minutes. Rinse the shoots with water and use thereafter.
